Incline Dumbbell Fly
Starting position
- Set the bench to 30–45°, dumbbells above the upper chest, palms facing each other.
- Elbows slightly bent and fixed in that position.
Execution
- Lower the arms out to the sides in a wide arc until the chest is stretched.
- Bring them back along the same arc, as if hugging a tree.
- Breathe out as you bring them together.
Common mistakes
- Bending and straightening the arms: then it becomes a press.
- Lowering too deep, which strains the shoulders.
- Too much weight.
