Bicycle Crunch
Starting position
- Lie on your back, hands loosely behind the head, elbows out.
- Lift the shoulders slightly off the floor, raise the legs, knees bent about 90°.
- Lower back stays on the floor.
Execution
- Rotate the upper body and bring the right elbow to the left knee while extending the right leg forward.
- Hold briefly, then switch sides through the middle.
- Keep breathing evenly; each side counts as one rep.
- Easier: extend the legs higher or switch more slowly.
Common mistakes
- Pulling on the head with the hands.
- Moving only the elbows instead of rotating the upper body.
- Hollow back because the extended leg sinks too low.
- Too fast, with momentum instead of the abs.
